just being a place of great historical interest there are numerous
leisure activities available locally to fill up your time during
your visit.
Here is a list of just a few:
Kilmartin House - Award winning museum situated
in the village of Kilmartin, contains a bookshop and cafe.
Golf - There are 7 courses within easy reach of
Dunadd including the championship standard Machrihanish Golf Course.
Fishing - Fish from the shores of Loch Awe or hire
a boat. The local Angling Club have a number of lochs in the area
which are stocked with brown trout. (permits are required)
Walking- Whether its just a gentle stroll along
the famous Crinan Canal or a more strenuous walk along one of the
many nearby forest trails and old drovers tracks.
Swimming/Sports - We are only a 5 minute drive
from the local swimming pool and sports centre.
Day Trips - Cruise to the Isles of Mull, Gigha,
Islay or Jura. Or spend the day at Oban, Inverary or Tarbert just
a few of the local towns that are filled with visitor attractions.
Gardens - 7 gardens within a 45 minute drive, including
the famous Crarae Gardens & Arduaine Gardens which have an astonishing
display of rhododendrons and azaleas in the springtime.
Along with Horse Riding, Cycling, Boat Trips
and watersports Mid Argyll offers something for everyone.
